With the pandemic more about a house arrest and work from home rather than freedom, shopping is the panacea to all the ills albeit virtually through Amazon. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, The Amazon Great Indian Festival is here and the countdown has started.
Roughly left with four hours to go and I’m PRIMEd to take full advantage of what is on offer. Two reasons for typing this blog:-
- This is Billboard Vagabond, yes? And even though I’m not yet into affiliate marketing, I would like to share my affinities for brands that I aspire for and eventually have transactions with. So if you’ve been following this domain then in the league of Manchester United, Oasis, McLaren, Lando Norris, Adidas, India, and Amazon fits perfectly in the same league of topics.
- Second and more importantly, my better half and mom already told me yesterday itself that I need to pitch 6k for their shopping and I was taken aback. Little realizing that shopping behind closed doors comes with its perks. Christmas is to the western world what Diwali means to India in terms of festivities and celebrations and this #PrimeEarlyAccess is in the same regard.
Hope the Amazon servers can take the load considering it’s only the Prime members that would be inaugurating it. Sure, there is excitement and a level of expectancy for the discounts and deals and personally, can’t wait to kickstart the festive season.
One of the worst kept secrets in the Indian context is that Reliance Jio is gearing up to enter the e-commerce space and it would truly spice things up with bigwigs such as Amazon & Walmart in the guise of Flipkart already in the fray. The Indian government has already shown on whose side it is on by siding with Reliance after tweaking the rules. Piyush Goyal, the Indian Minister of Commerce & Industry even went on record to say that Amazon was not doing India a favour by investing an additional $one billion in India.
Without deviating from the just concluded tangent, prepare and get ready to earn and burn, redeem points, get the best deals, and discounts because when it comes to retail or E-commerce, nobody does it better through the pomp and glamour.
